Abstract

The N and P combinations increased the plant height, number of leaves/plant significantly. While N and K combination and P and K individually, were found significantly effective in increasing the stem girth, N at 200 g in combination with P at 50 g and K at 100 g was found to be most effective dose in increasing the fruit yield during both the years. The N, P and K combination of doses can be suggested for the successful cultivation of papaya in tarai regions of Uttar Pradesh.
