Abstract

The physico-chemical composition of the fruits upon storage varied with the variety, location and storage temperature. The quality deterioration that occurred under storage for 15–20 days at ambient temperature took 125–145 days at low temperature. Golden Delicious showed overall good quality characteristics under both the storage conditions. Location-wise, fruits from dry temperate high hills and cold desert agroclimatic location recorded higher overall acceptability compared with other two locations under both the storage temperatures.
