Six cultivars, viz. Kala Amritsari, Satluj Purple, Kataru Chak, Titron, Lalri and Damson were evaluated for their flowering behaviour, fruit yield and quality attributes. Cultivars Kala Amritsari and Satluj Purple were observed to be earliest (first week of May) to reach maturity followed by Kataru Chak and Titron (second week of May), whereas cultivars Lalri and Damson were the last to reach maturity (last week of May). TSS were the highest in Titron followed by Satluj Purple, whereas they were the lowest in Kataru Chak. On the basis of quality attributes, cultivars Satluj Purple and Kala Amritsari were found suitable as early maturing, Titron as mid-season maturing and Damson as late-maturing cultivar for the arid irrigated region of Punjab.
