The effect of plant growth regulators (2,4-D, GA3) and micronutrients (zinc, boron) was studied on the fruit set, fruit drop, retention and cracking of litchi. Higher levels of micronutrients (0.8 % zinc and 0.4 % boron) along with 10 ppm 2,4-D and GA3 showed marked effect on fruit retention. This treatment also helped in reducing fruit drop and cracking of litchi.
