Stability parameters along with per se performance of 13 genotypes including breeding lines and their parental varieties/lines were worked out for 7 yield related characters under 3 environments. The non-significant genotype × environment (linear) interactions for all the 7 traits and significant pooled deviation for days to flowering, pod length, pod breadth, seeds/pod and green pod yield (kg/plot) indicated the preponderance of non-linear component of g × e interactions. None of the genotypes showed uniform stability for all the characters. The HUVP-1 and Pant Uphar were found high-yielding, highly stable and suitable for favourable environments. Pant Uphar was also stable and suitable for unfavourable environments in respect of 100-green seed weight. Bonneville for 100-green seed weight and pod length, CHP-1 for days to flowering, pod breadth and 100-green seed weight, CHP-6 and JP-501 for seeds/pod and shelling percentage showed stable performance.
