Abstract

There was a significant variation in uptake of N. K. Mg, Fe and Mn while P,Ca,Zn and Cu showed no significant variation. The nutrient uptake was not found related to growth habit but it was as per the inherent nutrient absorption characteristics of a particular rootstock. Sua chu sha rootstock showed better performance in vegetative growth with balance amount of nutrient absorption. Trifoliate. Rangpur lime and Cleopatra mandarin rootstocks absorbed less amount of Mn and may be suited for acidic soils having Mn toxicity. Large variation in different nutrient uptake was observed in Trifoliate, Cleopatra mandarin and C. macrophylla and hence nutrient has to be supplied to these rootstocks carefully.
