Abstract

The experiment was conducted to standardize grafting technique in pecan. Three grafting methods were performed on 3 different dates. Tongue grafting gave highest success compared to cleft and crown grafting. Highest bud sprouting and survival rate were recorded in tongue grafting performed on 3rd March followed by the same method performed on 15th February. Cleft graft on 18th March was the earliest to sprout. The proportion of saleable plants was highest in tongue grafting (71.33%) followed by cleft grafting (61.44%).
