Studies were undertaken to see the effect of various treatments, viz. irrigation, NAA application, NAA application in combination with irrigation and leaf extract of Ruellia tuberosa L. along with the control on floral malformation in mango cv. Dashehari. The results revealed that except leaf extract of Ruellia tuberosa none of the treatments reduced floral malformation significantly. The fresh as well as leaf extract stored at 4°C for 24 hr showed significant reduction in malformation (14.47 and 4.47%) on trees treated in October over the control (27.2%). Therefore, results indicate that this treatment has a potential of reducing floral malformation in mango cv. Dashehari.
