The comparative effects of chemicals, viz. urea (10 and 15%), (NH4)2SO4(10 and 15%), Kl (0.25 and 0.50%) and KNO3 (4 and 6%) on flower drop, fruit set and yield of guava cv. Sardar was studied. The Kl (0.5%) treatment surpassed all other treatments for causing maximum flower drop, followed by urea (15%) in rainy season. The highest fruit set was observed in trees sprayed with urea in winter season, whereas the control trees gave maximum fruit set in rainy season. The urea treated trees gave maximum yield in both the seasons.
