A field experiment was conducted at Dharwad for 2 years under rainfed conditions to know the effects of different growth regulators (3 growth regulators at 2 concentrations each with the control) and 3 stages of spraying (35, 50 and both 35 and 50 DAT) on growth and yield of chilli. GA 20 ppm was found the best in recording plant height and number of branches of all orders, while 20 ppm NAA treatment was good for yield. Among the stages of growth regulator application, S3 (both 35 and 50 DAT) was most efficient in recording better growth parameters as well as yield (1,152 kg/ha). Interaction effects were non-significant for all the parameters except yield, which was best with 2 times applications of 20 ppm NAA; 35 and 50 DAT.
