Abstract

An experiment was conducted to study the effect of foliar application of macro and micronutrients and their combination on yield characters and fruit quality of grape cv. Perlette. Nutrient treatment improved average fruit weight/bunch significantly over the control though Mg (0.02%), Fe (0.2%) and B (0.4%) were exceptionally better than others. Surprisingly, there were no unripekhot berries observed in vines treated with macro and micronutrients compared to the control. The quality of berries as judged from total sugars, acidity, juice and tannin content was also better for nutrient sprayed vines than the control. The results indicated the possibility of using macro and micronutrients for improving fruit yield and quality of cv. Perlette.
