Effect of fertilization on fruit yield, quality and nutrient status of grape cv. Perlette

Perlette grapevines of eight years age planted at a distance of 3 m × 3 m, trained on bower system were given different doses of N fertilizers i.e. urea at 0, 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 g N/vine. Vine response was quardratic for yield with peak at 300 g and sugar content measured as total soluble solids at 2009 dose. While the acid content had a positive relationship for all the doses tried. Effect of these treatments on petiole N, P, K, Zn, Mn and Fe were also studied. The dose of 3009 N was considered to be the optimum for Ludhiana conditions.
