The experiment was conducted to find out suitable cultivars of Gerbera for cut flower production in Andaman. Twenty-five cultivars of Gerbera were used as experimental materials. The results indicated that maximum plant spread, leaf area, maximum number of flowers/m2 and bigger flowers with maximum diameter of flower head were recorded in Versace. Maximum number of leaves/plant was produced by AVP 07. The maximum number of ray florets/flower head was recorded in Evening Bells. The length of flower stalk was maximum in AVP 08. The cut blooms of AVP 07 recorded maximum vase-life. Considering cut flower production and quality aspects, Versace and AVP 07 can be recommended for commercial cultivation in Andamans.
