An experiment was conducted on four chilli hybrids viz., ARCH-226, ARCH-236, ARCH-006 and LCA-235 at four nitrogen levels, i.e. N @ 50 100, 150 and 200 kg ha−1 on a well drained sandy-loam soil of inceptisol origin. Maximum yield, ten fruits wt, fruit length and fruit size were recorded in hybrid ARCH-226. Application of N @ 50 kg ha−1 upto 150 kg ha−1 did not influence yield significantly within the varieties. An additional yield of 10 q ha−1 green chillies was recorded in hybrid ARCH-226 with an additional application of N @ 100 kg ha−1 over the general recommended dose of N fertilization.
