Abstract

In order to determine the optimum size and shape of plots for gerbera under naturally ventilated greenhouse condition, an uniformity trial was laid out. It revealed that a plot size of 1.08 square meter, corresponding to a plant stand of 16, arranged in a rectangular or square shape was ideal for conducting field experiments in cultivar Diablo under greenhouse condition. It was also noticed that the competition between plants was negligible and the soil heterogeneity was found less.
