A set of 36 F1 hybrids produced from a 9 × 9 half diallel mating design involving one bell pepper variety (Arka Gaurav) and eight hot pepper advanced breeding lines were evaluated for earliness, fruit length, fruit width, number of fruits per plant and dry fruit yield per plant. Out of these hybrids, Arka Gaurav × VR-1 was found best for earliness, VR-2 × VR-47 for fruit length, Arka Gaurav × VR-2 for fruit width, VR-47 × VR-55 for number of fruits per plant and VR-2 × VR-55 for dry fruit yield per plant. The data on the magnitude of heterosis have revealed that VR-2 × VR-55 was superior over best parent and standard check with respect to dry fruit yield per plant. VR-1 × VR-2 was found superior over best parent and standard check with respect to number of fruits per plant.
