Protocorms of Cymbidium Lunavian Atlas regenerated from meristem explant in-vitro were cultured in MS, Nitsch, Street and White media supplemented with different BAP levels, 10–12 weeks after culture initiation indicated significant variations. Among the four media, Murashige and Skoog's medium was found to be the best for better growth and rapid proliferation of protocorm and Nitsch medium for differentiation and growth into plantlets. Supplementation of BAP in the media increased shoot number, leaf number and total number of PLBs. Principal component analysis further confirmed that MS medium was best by recording higher loading for the variables total culture weight and PLB number and supplementation of BAP at 0.5 to 1.0 mg/l was found to be quite effective for increasing the protocorm number as well as shoot number. However, BAP at 0.5 mg/l was found to be optimum for the multiplication of PLB's and Nitsch with BAP at 0.5 mg/l for further differentiation and growth of plantlets.
