Abstract

The studies were conducted on 4-year-old high density plantings of peach for evaluating the effect of planting systems and canopy positions on light interception, photosynthesis and related parameters. The light interception was found to increase with the planting density, whereas the PAR value was found to decrease with increase in planting density. The plants under square system of planting were found to have higher photosynthesis, stomatal conductance and transpiration rate. The values for these parameters were recorded highest before harvest and declined thereafter
