Abstract

The effect of Azotobacter chroococcum (CBD-15 and M-4 strains) along with graded levels of nitrogen (0, 48, 96 and 145 g/plant) was observed on ten-year-old Amrapali plants under high density planting. The different treatments could not bring marked difference in plant height, although an increase in shoot length was observed with some of the treatments. An application of 145 and 96 g nitrogen along with CBD-15 strain of Azotobacter chroococcum showed significant increase in yield and quality parameters, though the treatments did not differ significantly with each other.
