Biology of green apple aphid (Aphis pomi De Geer) on apple host

In the present study, biology of green apple aphid on apple host was studied during August to November and the data on pre-reproductive, reproductive and post-reproductive periods were recorded. Total progeny produced by a female and maximum number of young ones laid in a day were also recorded. The detailed biology of green apple aphid from India is reported for the first time. It is suggested that during the nymph stages, control of this aphid pest would be more effective and economic.
