Correlation and path coefficient analysis of 50 pumpkin germplasm lines for 17 characters was conducted at Pantnagar (Uttaranchal) during summer 2002–2003. The characters showing positive and highly significant correlation with fruit yield were fruit diameter, number of ridges per fruit, fruit flesh thickness, vine length and number of fruits per plant. Yield had negative and significant correlation with days to first male and female flower and seed cavity depth. There was a positive and direct effect on fruit yield for the traits like days to anthesis of first female flower, fruit flesh thickness, node numbers to first female flower, fruit diameter and vine length.
