Hortipasture (fruit tree + grass and/or legume) system is one of the potential and economically viable system for rainfed situations. Medium pruning significantly improve the fruit yield. The total rainfall during sprouting phase gave positive response and rainfall during September (flowering phase) gave negative response to yield and quality of ber. Lower value of MAI and higher atmospheric dryness during maturity and ripening were found favourable for better yield and quality. Guinea grass + Stylo combination gave higher yield in understorey of ber tree. The understorey pasture combination and weather parameters in winter months did not influence the quality of ber.
