Effect of anti-malformins (glutathione and ascorbic acid), NAA and urea were studied on floral morphology, phenol and protein content of healthy and malformed panicles. The maximum per cent of developed ovary and minimum number of under-developed and multilocular ovary were recorded with the application of NAA (200 ppm). The per cent of developed ovary was relatively very less in malformed panicles. The total phenol content in healthy panicle was relatively less than that of malformed panicle but the content of antifungal phenol was more in healthy panicle and found maximum with the application of 200 ppm NAA. Further, the total protein content was more in malformed panicle than that of healthy panicle.
