Electrophoretic pattern of eleven genotypes of common guava (Psidium guajava L.) and three wild species were analysed by SDS-PAGE. Similarity index was calculated to establish diversity. Higher SI values were obtained between cultivar of P. guajava and other Psidium spp. which indicated a close relationship among them. Cluster analysis based on SDS-PAGE of seed proteins revealed that the genetic diversity within Psidium spp. is low.
