This paper is an attempt to provide a brief overview on the role of electricity consumption in agriculture in India. In the subsequent pages an attempt has been made to find out the relationship between electricity consumption and agriculture yield. This study deals with with the help of illustrations, mathematical correlations and measurement of relative change. It exhibits the growing importance of electricity in agriculture Hopefully, it could lead to increase food grains for millions of population in India.
