Patients detected with cancer report different level of adjustment and coping strategies to cope with the life change due to the disease. The present research aimed to examine the relationship between adjustment and coping strategies among cancer patients. To address these objective Correlational research design was used.100 cancer patients (50 male and 50 female) of age range 30–55 years were selected from different hospitals of Varanasi following purposive sampling method. Adjustment inventory developed by Asthana (1968), and coping strategies scale developed by Srivastava (2001) were used as behavioral measures. Mean, SD and product moment correlation were used for statistical analysis of data. Data was analyzed with the help of SPSS. Result revealed significant positive correlation between problem focused coping and adjustment, whereas a negative correlation between emotion focused coping and adjustment was found.
