Impact of adjustment on students ’academic achievement

Abstract

The study was conducted to see the impact of adjustment on student's academic achievement. For this purpose 160 higher secondary students were purposively selected from Saran Sub-Divisional area. Self Prepared Personal Data Sheet, Hindi version of Bell's Adjustment Inventory by M. Shamshad & K. Jehan (1987) were administered upon research sample. As an academic achievement of samples, their examination results were taken. After the data collection work from selected higher secondary schools, collected results revealed that, (i)adjustment was achievement, (ii) adjusted respondents had better academic achievement than non-adjusted respondents, (iii) girl respondents had better adjustment and academic achievement than their counterpart boy respondents.
