Alienation and personal efficacy in peptic ulcer patients

Abstract

The present study is an attempt to examine the alienation status and personal efficacy of peptic ulcer patients. Sample of the present study consisted of 120 subjects divided into two groups. One group was consisted of 30 male and 30 female peptic ulcer patients and other group was consisted of 30 male and 30 female normal subjects. Patients were selected by quota sampling from various hospital and clinics of Varanasi district and normal subjects were also drawn from the city of Varanasi. Their age range was 20–45 years. The alienation scale and personal efficacy scale were used to collect data. The data were been analysed using mean SD and F-test. The findings revealed that alienation and personal efficacy are significantly associated with the peptic ulcer.
