Abstract

Nowadays, research on work-family interface has become a critical issue among researchers because work and family are very essential components in most of people's lives, which can have a significant effect on life satisfaction. In the present scenario, it is difficult to balance both work and personal life at a time, especially for the females. Today we see many women are working in almost all types of professions but they are facing different types of challenges at work-place. On the other hand, for females there is one more battle to fight that is their home front. Women feel an extra pressure to balance both work and personal life and it affects their perception towards their life. The aim of present study is to determine the relationship between work life balance, self esteem and life satisfaction among working women. The sample included 70 working women from Allahabad and Varanasi. The data was collected using work life balance scale adapted by Hayman (2005), life satisfaction scale developed by Diener, et.al (1985) and self esteem scale developed by Rosenberg (1965). Data have been analyzed by using correlation and regression analysis. Results revealed significant positive relationship between work life balance, self-esteem and life satisfaction of working women.
