This paper presents the conceptual explanations of cognitive behaviuoral therapy (CBT) and refers to the studies which establish that CBT can be used comfortably for the treatment of some internalizing problems such as depression, anxiety and other related psychological problems. As opined by different scholars, CBT investigates the connections between musings, feelings and conduct. It is a mandate, time-constrained, organized methodology used to treat an assortment of psychological wellness issue. It expects to mitigate trouble by helping patients to grow progressively versatile comprehensions and practices. It is the most broadly investigated and observationally upheld psychotherapeutic strategy. It has been extensively used in previous decades and it is assumed to be the most effective therapy for anxiety and depression related problems. It is because of its efficacy, CBT is considered the ‘Gold Standard’ in the treatment of internalization of psychological problems. This solid proof base is reflected in clinical rules, which prescribe it as a treatment for some normal emotional wellness issue. Besides, explaining the concept and immunological implications, the paper also covers the limitations of CBT as compared to the other therapeutic techniques.
