The study aimed to explore into the (i) ‘gender ’effects on perception of stress, depression, positive affect and negative affect, and global social provisions. Men disclose a greater scores than women on positive affect; whereas men and women appeared to be more or less alike on all other measures (perception of stress, depression, negative affect and global social provisions), and (ii) relationship between perception of stress, depression, positive affect and negative affect and global social provisions. The analyses of data revealed as stated here. First, the relationships between perception of stress and depression, perception of stress and negative affect as well as negative affect and depression emerged to be significantly positively correlated. Second, positive affect and perception of stress, positive affect and depression emerged to be significantly negatively correlated, and that positive affect and negative affect scales of PANAS emerged to be independent. Finally, global social provisions and perception of stress, global social provisions and depression and global social provisions and negative affect are significantly negatively correlated; whereas global social provisions and positive affect are significantly positively correlated. The results have been discussed in the light of the available literature on social provisions as a significant determinant of psychological well-being and affect.
