Quarantine and isolation were two situations which globally everyone encountered. The unawareness and fear of unknown acted as major stressor. Quarantine though is an effective way to prevent transmission of infection but it is potentially a source of stress from various factors such as fear of infection, long term isolation, frustration, boredom, inadequate information, financial loss and stigma.
This systematic review is done to summarize present day scenario & new up gradation of information of quarantine as major, on new psychological state of human mind.
This systematic review is based on PRISMA PROTOCOL of systematic review in which those studies were selected which involved adult of both genders irrespective of ethnicity. The main emphasis is on the study based on quarantine and mental health.
The person in isolation and quarantine have shown marked disarrangement in their mental wellness. It has been observed that health professionals often have better awareness, positive attitudes towards epidemics/ pandemics and they often experience low levels of anxiety The male and female have different ways to handle the stress. Decreased stress was found in participants who were following Buddhism than in atheists i.e. having no religion.
