Abstract

Orthodontic camouflauge and orthognathic surgery were used to correct skeletal class III malocclusion in adult patients. In Camouflauge patient extractions were done followed by fixed mechanotherapy for achieving alignment of upper and lower arches, ideal overjet and overbite, ideal position of impacted left canine, class 1 molar relation and straight profile. In surgical case pre surgical orthodontic phase was performed for decompensation of anterior teeth. Mandibular set back surgery was done and chin deviation was corrected during the mandibular surgery. After the surgery, post surgical orthodontic phase was done for settling of the occlusion. Straight facial profile, class I molar relationship with ideal overjet and overbite with correction of chin deviation and ideal position of lower lips were achieved.
