Abstract

Restoration of endodontically treated teeth is the most extensively researched topic but still remains controversial. A skilled integration of endodontic and restorative procedures is required for the long term success of such teeth. The clinician should be aware of the principles and the right type of dowel and core systems available to meet the functional and aesthetic needs of each individual tooth. If proper principles are followed, the prognosis of such teeth remains fairly good. This article reviews various variables that control success of endodontically treated teeth.
