Abstract

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by Novel Coronavirus SARS-CoV2 has emerged as a pandemic. Risk of contracting infection among Ophthalmologists is high as they are in close proximity to the patients during ocular examination. Therefore, in this article the perspective and initiative taken by Dept. of Ophthalmology, SGT Medical College, Hospital and Research Institute in preparing guidelines for examinations and management of ophthalmic patients are highlighted. These guidelines are also available in video form on the website of SGT university.
