Abstract

Pantothenate kinase associated neurodegeneration (PKAN) is a rare, chromosomal disorder of basal ganglia. A 9 years old girl weighing 19 kg, diagnosed case of PKAN, was admitted for surgery of renal stone disease. She also reported of progressively worsening spasm and was unable to perform any definitive motor function and had slurred speech. Child was successfully managed with no untoward event.
