The purpose of this case report is to describe the benefits of Sustained Natural Apophyseal Glides (SNAG) and stretching exercises in the management of a patient with long term cervicogenic headache.
A 28-year-old female with history of headache and neck pain from more than one year was referred for therapy because of limited success with pharmacological treatment. The patient was diagnosed with a cervicogenic headache. Physical examination showed restricted neck movements, tightness of upper trapezius, Pectoralis major and SCM. The patient was treated with Sustained Natural Apophyseal Glides (SNAG) along with stretching exercises.
this case report shows that after 2 weeks of treatment, there was a reduction in pain intensity and Headache Disability Index (HDI) from 60 to 34.
