Heart Rate variability is very important and simple tool to measure the balance between sympathetic and parasympathetic system.
The main aim of the systemic review was to measure the effect of exercise on heart rate variability.
Data base search was conducted (Pub Med, web of science, Cochrane trails till March 2020) for the exercise based rehabilitation trails in myocardial infarction using search and MeSH terms, exercise therapy, HRV, heart rate variability, Myocardial infarction.
It was found that exercise has positive effect on HRV i.e. exercise improves heart rate variability as compared to control group.
For patients with Myocardial Infection, exercise is necessary to improve the balance of sympathetic and parasympathetic system and reduce incidence of sudden cardiac death.
