To study the utility of reference articles vs use of reference textbooks in studying topics by students and by professionals

An exploration or research article is an essential source that, it reports the strategies and consequences of a unique examination performed by the authors. The strategies area, where authors describe how they collected and analyzed the data along with the Statistical analyses. In the Current Scenario of competition and advancement, being a physiotherapy student or professional it is must to know which all are the recent changes, suitable modification and advancement that are happening in our physiotherapy community.

As, in Current Clinical practices most of the professionals are still confined to conventional treatment, which is important, but recent advances along with conventional training shall aid in gaining speedy results. Although, reference books are useful for studying and clarifying students doubts they are lacking in gaining the updated study materials which are currently going on in the community.

Study design is observational type, study type is cross-sectional, sampling method is simple random sampling sample size is 300 subjects participants are physiotherapy 4th year students, PGs and physiotherapy professionals, place of study is Vidarbha Division.

As per observation and results obtained out of 300 therapists 153 therapists prefer conventional approach, 57 therapists prefer advance approach whereas, 90 therapist prefer combination of both the approaches. Conclusion: Based on data analysis and interpretation it can be concluded that students and professionals are using reference textbook along with the recommended books, for studying topics and less subjects are using referring research articles. So there has to be criteria set by the institutions that students should read research article as it consists of advance reading material.
