Trapezius is a upper back muscle which have tendency to get spasm. Many literatures suggest that Trapezitis is very common condition with the 48.5% lifetime prevalence and it also suggest that 60% of undergraduate students have pain due to this condition.
The students are most commonly affected due to Trapezitis. There are many stretching and strengthening techniques are there to improve range of motion and pain but, no study suggests significant effect. As Fascia is unifying structure of the body. The aim of this study was to improve function by removing fascial adhesions with help of fascial distortion model.
Total 30 participants were included this study. FDM treatment was given for 3 days a week for 4 weeks. Pre and post intervention assessed by visual analog scale for pain and goniometry for range of motion.
The FDM given significant improvement in pain and ROM in students with Trapezitis.
This study concluded that fascial distortion model is effective in improving ROM and reducing pain.
