People are incorporating information technology into every aspect of their lives, thanks to continuous advancements that have elevated living standards and transformed lifestyles. Neuroscience aims to understand how our nervous system integrates auditory information with vocalmotor skills for communication. Presently, attaining high-resolution insights into cellular operations and circuits through vocal communication in humans is impractical. The evolving technological landscape offers a wide array of applications. This work begins with a concise introduction to analog and digital signals, basic signal processing techniques, the role of auditory signal processing in hearing, and explores specific areas of signal processing research. Subsequently, it delves into the theory and concept of the song system, followed by an examination of the neural basis of auditory perception and imitation in animals such as songbirds.
