Use Pattern of Industrial Journals: A Case Study of KIADB Employees

Abstract

KIADB (Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board) is one of the government funded agency related to industrial development in Karnataka. KIADB of Machenahalli has sophisticated library with good number of industrial journals for the benefit of employees of KIADB. Among the 90 employees all (100%) of them are made visit to central library and 22.22% of employee's frequency of visit is daily. 85.56% of employees seek information on new products and out of them 72.22% are on market trend. Authors also made an attempt to know the most frequently referred journal. Study shows that Journal of Industrial Pollution Control (44.44%) and Indian Journal of Industrial Relations (42.22%) are frequently used journal. Further it is also examined that 61.11% of employees are satisfied from the industrial journals subscribed by KIADB.
