Developing Institutional Repository in University Library: A Case Study of University of Pune

The present paper highlights the project undertaken i.e. creation of Institutional repository at University of Pune. The academicians and researchers of the University of Pune are continuously engaged in research and are publishing their research output in the form of publication; also the university departments are having some valuable information sources such as conference proceedings and other materials which are not easily available like books and journals. Hence the project for establishing institutional repository was undertaken. The project is aimed to provide access to the literature highlighting institution's scholarship and to increase the visibility of the institution's scholarship.
