Due to Covid-19, the movement of almost all people is cut down unless it is most essential. In this regard, we are using several online meeting tools to substitute the physical meetings. In the academic world, learned people are participating in various webinars (web seminar), which is organizing by various colleges, universities and educational institutions and their departments on various topics. Peoples are participating in these webinars for achieving new knowledge, for knowing various unknown information about a field, for utilizing their unlimited un-used time by engaging in qualitative work, particularly in this lockdown period. The present paper represents an observation on online webinar series in the LIS discipline during the COVID-19 pandemic period. The main aim of this study is to analyses the advantages and disadvantages of participating in the webinars and also to find out the impact of these webinars on the participants in their educational & social life. The main question is, are the webinars substituting the physical meeting What is the real impact of these meetings on teaching and learning and library service Do we consider that even after lockdown we can continue this kind of practice or it is useful only for the time being If the impact is significant, we may change the pattern of library service (in most of the cases) and re-orient ourselves in that direction! Our experience in this area would certainly be useful to all and also to others who are not using it at present.
