The present paper investigates the authorship pattern and degree of collaboration in Library and Information science literature. The data is collected from 24 Ph.D. theses submitted to the S.V.University during the period from 2000 to 2012 for the present study. The results indicate that the predominance of single authorship over multiple authorship is seen in the study. ‘Annals of Library and Information Studies’ occupies the first rank for being cited more times with 12.21% of citations, journals contribute the highest number of citations accounting for 51.28% of total citations.
