Awareness and Attitude on Plagiarism among Post-Graduate students: A Case Study of Central University of Haryana, India

Abstract

The stakeholders at the global level are convinced that plagiarism is a serious academic crime and dishonesty. Research institutions are playing a vital role in conducting research-related activities in the form of written works and they have to determine that they are dealing with it. The study evaluated the level of awareness and attitude toward plagiarism among Post Graduate students at the Central University of Haryana. The survey method was followed by the postgraduate students and a questionnaire instrument has been used for data collection. The Findings of the study depicted that 80% of students had a high level of awareness about plagiarism and 91% of students had a Negative attitude towards plagiarism.
