This study presents a bibliometric analysis of sources cited by the Central University of Himachal Pradesh physics researchers. It provides insights into the citation behaviour of researchers. The analysis highlights the core subjects, methodologies, and sources that support the researchers’ scholarly endeavours by examining the types of documents cited, the most cited journals, and keywords. The findings reveal a predominant reliance on peer-reviewed journal articles, highlight the influence of significant journals in the field, and map out the evolving research themes and interdisciplinary approaches characterizing the research output.
