Nimar is an independent geographical sub-region located in the Indore division in the southwest part of Madhya Pradesh. The shape of the Nimar region is visible like a crown. The rectangular Nimar is situated between 21?5’ north latitude to 22?38’ north latitude and 74?2’ east longitude to 77??13’ east longitude.
There are four lead colleges in the Nimar region: Shri Neelkantheshwar Government Postgraduate College, Khandwa, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Government Postgraduate College, Nepanagar, Shaheed Bhima Nayak Government Postgraduate College, Barwani, and Government Postgraduate College, Khargone. Three of these colleges are located in district headquarters. The lead college in the Burhanpur district is situated at Tehsil Headquarters in Nepanagar. The libraries of lead colleges are evaluated based on resources, modern technology, and users.
