In bibliometric and scientometric investigations, science mapping and visualization approaches are valuable tools for data analysis. Using these techniques, researchers can explore the breadth of scientific knowledge while giving the research life by producing striking visualizations highlighting their findings’ significance. These graphic representations better portray the structural relationships and dynamics of numerous scientific research topics. Multiple software tools have been created, utilizing unique science mapping and visualization methodologies. With the help of these technologies, enormous amounts of data may be explored and understood, and patterns, trends, and significant contributors to particular fields of study can be found. Bibexcel, Biblioshiny- R software, HistCite, Saint, Pajek, CiteSpace, VOSviewer, SciMAT, Gephi, Publish or Perish, InCites, CitNetExplorer, Network Workbench, SITKIS, Vantage Point, and Excel among other major software programmes other well-known software applications are some of the tools frequently used for bibliometric and scientometric analysis. Each tool has distinct features and functionalities that give researchers a thorough method for analyzing and interpreting their research data. Finally, science mapping and visualization tools are essential for improving our comprehension of the scientific landscape and enabling well-informed choices in academic and research endeavours.
