Abstract

This research paper attempts to highlight the role of libraries in the Indian knowledge tradition. Libraries are regarded as the preservers and disseminators of knowledge. All Indian libraries must prepare themselves in this direction, whether academic or public. In this context, efforts have been made to suggest reforms for Indian libraries and solutions to various challenges they face. To play an effective role in the Indian knowledge tradition, libraries must be technologically advanced and modernized. Additionally, emphasis has been placed on ensuring adequate financial resources to support these initiatives.
